Meloxicam is a NSAID (non steroidal anti-inflammatory and analgesic) normally used to reduce pain, tenderness,  swelling, fever and stiffness of joints associated with arthritis and various other conditions where inflammatory component is  involved.

Meloxicam is found effective in low therapeutic doses in comparison to many other drugs of its class. This approval enables the company  to participate in a market of over a USD 1 billion.
