Andhracafe.com- Story : Gopi is a fickle character and wants to date every girl he sees. The parents find it a problem to hunt for a bride for him. Eventually he likes Gowri Munjal and okays a wedding with her.

He leaves for bangalore a day before the wedding because of a job offer. The terrorists create a havoc in bangalore so he gets into a car and travels back to hyderabad. On the way Arti Chabria asks for a lift. He loses his heart to her but eventually realises on Jagapati Babu’s revelation that she is actually a terrorist.

Narartion : The director might have felt the reason for not having logic because it’s a comedy movie. But when you have serious issues like terrorists, bomb blasts etc as the backdrop there is need for some serious handling. Ignoring this he has made a comedy out of every character and situation hoping that it would click big time. Leaving the terrorism part, Maharshi has dealt with Gopi’s role very well.

He succeeded in evoking humour to an extent. The reactions between the gods, running of the main story is good but when it came to moulding Jagapati Babu’s character and his placement he failed. The songs were totally unnecessary in the two hour film. The flow in the second half was missing. The journey between banglaore and hyderabad wasn’t easy for the director nevertheless he could get away with a few sparks here and there.

After Kitakitalu, this is a tailor made role for Naresh. He exudes a lot of confidence and has given his best to the role. Arti Chabria has an interesting role and she does it will fights including. Jagapati Babu’s role is like what Amitabh did in Banti Aur Babli. His role was okay but not that great when compared to those special appearances he did in other films. Vadde Naveen comes in a small role. The gods and the goddesses, the parents all perform well.

Dialogues are okay and it makes you laugh here and there. There is no need to talk about the technical department, Koti’s music is bad. Just not the songs even the re-recording is unforgivable. Janardhan Maharshi who comes from EVV’s school followed his footsteps, but his effort to make a serious issue into a comedy sans logic fails in the second half. He could nevertheless show his calibre and mettle pre-interval.

While the director needs to learn a lot he proved to be a benefit by churning off a passable comedy within the specified budget. He deserves a pat on his back for not resorting to double meaning dialogues. The openings are weak and this can be attributed to bad publicity work.

The audiences of the last category might enjoy it but if you are thinking in terms of logic then this is not a film for you. On the whole it looks like an okay film and since there is enough time for the big films to strike the theatre, Gopi can make use of this span to recover it’s money.

Andhra Café Verdict : Gopi is on the wall balancing between success and failure. It could jump anywhere.
