Andhracafe.com- HYDERABAD : A city court directed the Nampally police to register cases against a senior IPS officer and 16 others, including few policemen, on a private complaint in a land dispute case.

The 12th additional CMM ordered registeration of cases under Section 120-b (conspiracy) and 218 (public servant framing an incorrect record or writing with intention to save a person from punishment or property for forfeiture) against 17, who include IPS officer Amit Garg.

Garg was then DCP (West Zone) and presently Joint Commissioner of Police (Special Branch). The complaint was filed by Lakshminarayana Reddy, who had a 400 square yard site at Errum Manzil which was in dispute.
