Andhracafe.com- Two Hyderabad NGOs have set up two de-addiction centres exclusively for women addicts. The Serenity Foundation and the Hope Trust have set up the centres at Trimulgherry and Banjara Hills.

Women staff will run the centres and offer residential programmes for addicts for alcohol and drugs. So far only Chennai, Bangalore and Mumbai boasted of exclusive de-addiction centres for women.

The rising alcohol and drug abuse, particularly among women and the rising number of calls from women have prompted the NGOs to open the centres meant exclusively for women.
